Freedom Takes Courage

February 21 – 7:30 to 9:30 pm

Hey teens! We’re going to see a powerful play called Ephraim Slaughter: Freedom’s Witness. It tells the true story of Ephraim Slaughter, who was born enslaved but chose freedom and became a Union Army veteran and community leader. Notably, he was the last living Civil War survivor in Harrisburg, PA, and his statue is at the National Civil War Museum.
