The Joy of Giving

A Thanksgiving Box of Blessings

Donations accepted now through November 14th.

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”  Nehemiah 8:10

The Usher Ministry is preparing to give boxes of food items to families who might not otherwise be able to celebrate and enjoy a meal during the Thanksgiving holiday. We are now collecting items to fill the Box of Blessings and we need your help!

A donation box is located at the Pershing Avenue entrance.

Food items needed:

Frozen Turkey (Please give to an Usher. Please do not place the turkey in the donation box.)

Boxed Stuffing, Boxed Mashed Potatoes, Boxed Cake Mix/Brownie Mix, Rice, Packets of Gravy (dry mix), Canned Cranberry, Canned Corn, Canned Green Beans, Canned Yam/Sweet Potatoes

No time to shop, you may also donate grocery store gift cards in any amount between $5.00 & $20.00. Preferred Stores: Giants, Weis, Price-Rite, Save-A-Lot, Target, Walmart, or the Grocery Outlet.

Questions…please see any Usher for assistance.

Giving Tree Holiday Outreach

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

Our Children’s Church Ministry will be partnering with the Salvation Army.

Collecting beginning October 31st through December 3rd.

Pandemic poverty is far from over as 7.1 million Americans are currently behind on the rent and at least 20 million Americans don’t have enough food to eat. The Children's Ministry in conjunction with the Salvation Army will be collecting unwrapped gifts for families in need beginning October 31st  through December 3rd. Pull a tag (provided by the  Salvation Army) from the Giving Tree located in the lounge. Each tag will have all the details needed for your gift giving. Place your returned gift in Santa's Toy Box, also located in the lounge. Questions – please see Sis. Tabitha OR Sis. Claudette in Children’s Church.
